The instructors are trained Safety Officers in cooperation with the Madera County Juvenile Probation Department to encourage youth that Safety, Probation and Law Enforcement are here for them to listen to them, help them and to provide them guidance in life. These programs reinforce positive role models to youth, positive “good choices” in life are more productive for them than the alternative. This program is funded by the E.L.O.P. program and provided to the students during their After-school Program at each elementary school in the district.
