Arts Education

About Us

Arts Education encompasses the five disciplines of the Arts: media arts, visual arts, dance, theater, and music offered at Madera Unified. Each day, students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade participate in a variety of art courses and performing groups before, during, and after school. Through the Department of Arts Education, students and staff are given a wealth of opportunities designed to develop students in their chosen disciplines and to support the development of Madera Unified School District staff.

Our Mission

The Department of Arts Education inspires creativity, encourages personal expression, and uplifts student voice by nurturing imagination and pushing boundaries to build confident and authentic artists.

Our Vision

Our Arts Education community aspires to cultivate inclusive environments, champion creative and critical thinking, and open pathways to the arts so that students sustain a lifelong engagement with artistic expression.
