Please read and follow directions on the application:

Complete all four pages of the application.
If you are applying for an open position, a letter of interest must also accompany the application.
The following materials must accompany your application:
A copy of the credential(s) you currently hold
Three letters of recommendation attesting to teaching ability
CBEST verification
A copy of your college transcripts.
Applications are accepted at any time. We are unable to consider unsigned or incomplete applications. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted by telephone. We will keep your file active for two years. You may send additional material to update or enhance your file at any time.

Certificated

Madera Unified utilizes the merit system for hiring classified employees. All open-to-the-public classified positions are posted on the Internet at EDJOIN.org. Substitute Teaching

If you are interested in applying for the substitute teaching position with Madera Unified School District, we obtain our substitutes through the Madera County Office of Education.

In order to obtain clearance in Madera County to sub teach, you first need to apply for the Certifcated Substitute Teacher – Madera Countywide Substitute Teacher Consortium on Edjoin, through this link Edjoin Sub Teacher Application

Once you submit your online application, you will be contacted by Lizbeth Carrello via email to the next steps that will be taken. If you do not currently have a sub permit on file with CTC Lizbeth will assist you with that process.



Public Hearings regarding the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), Budget Overview for Parents and the Proposed Budget for the Madera Unified School District will be held before the governing board of the district at Madera Unified School District Board Room, 1902 Howard Road, Madera CA 93637 on June 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The proposed budget will be available for inspection at the district office, 1902 Howard Road, Madera CA 93637 on June 4, 2026. Any member of the public may appear and be heard concerning the Local Control Accountability Plan and any resident of the district may object to the proposed budget or any item in the budget.
